Frank Ocean Leaves odd future for good

Frank Ocean leaves Odd Future for good this time.

Frank Ocean has revealed that he turned down the chance to collaborate with Kanye West on his forthcoming solo album.

Ocean was asked by West and Jay-Z to appear on their collaborative project ‘Watch The Throne’ earlier this year, but in an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, he claimed he’d rejected the hip-hop megastar’s offer to feature on his as-yet-untitled LP.

He revealed that he’d told West: I said, ‘As much as I want to work with you… I kind of want to do this without you. I kind of want this to be done without you. I kind of want to do it on my own’

Ocean, who previously admitted that working with West and Jay-Z had made his sweat because he was so nervous, also said that the LP was nearly finished. “The record is written, we’re just trying to tie up all the production,” he said. “Get everything sonically pleasing to me.

“When I started writing this record that was one of the things I said. I wanted to be able to perform well, for it to transition to stage well… It feels good, they work out well.”

Earlier this month, Odd Future band member ‘Left Braid’, Vyron Turner, was charged for assault after he allegedly slapped a female photographer.

Snapper Amy Harris opted to press charges against the rapper, who is accused of striking her at the Voodoo Experience festival in New Orleans last month (October 30).
