Adrian Younge Restores the soulful feel of hip-hop
Adrian Younge wants to restore Hip-Hop to the soulful feel that it had before.
Souls Of Mischief are gearing up for a big comeback this year. On Aug. 26, the Oakland crew will release their collaborative LP with producer/composer Adrian Younge, called There Is Only Now. The highly anticipated project will have narration by Ali Shaheed Muhammad, features by Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and William Hart from The Delfonics and plenty more surprises; it’s set to be a concept album based on Souls Of Mischief’s near-death experience in 1994, while Younge crafts a dark and jazzy setting for them to tell the story.
