T.I. gets Summoned to Court following LA Arrest

Here we go again…Rapper T.I. has been summoned to court in Atlanta following his recent arrest in Los Angeles.  The rapper/actor known as “King of the South,” will now deal with the Judge of the Law to talk over violations of probation.

According to E! Online, T.I. will be in federal court in Atlanta for his summons.  He’ll have to discuss why he shouldn’t be sent back to prison after a recent drug arrest in Los Angeles.  That incident saw both T.I. and wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle charged with drug possession.

T.I.’s previous imprisonment came as the result of weapons charges.  The presiding judge in the case was District Court Judge Charles Parnell, who also summoned the rapper back to court for the latest probation discussion.  T.I. blatantly ignored probation terms by submitting a bad urine sample (opiates) and by hanging out with convicted felon Cortez Thomas.  Oh yeah, and you shouldn’t get arrested when you’re on probation…bad move.

Has T.I. become the Lindsay Lohan of rap or hip-hop music, or would you consider Lil’ Wayne more of the Lindsay Lohan story?  Both seem to have their issues with staying out of trouble on probation.  Both have had problems with drug possession and weapons charges.  Lil’ Wayne is currently serving a sentence, while T.I. already did.  It seems T.I. and Lil’ Wayne are much more successful despite their charges and issues, while Lindsay keeps trying for that elusive comeback.  Maybe these two are destined to release a collaboration album together, because they certainly have plenty in common and lots of new material to give to music!
