The phrase “Aww Waka” even trended on Twitter.

His wife, Tammy Rivera, has been there for support through and through, but he clearly chose to open up to his fans as well with this outpouring.

KayO Redd died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on December 29.

The 27-year-old was in the midst of launching his own rap career at the time and had even promoted his latest musical efforts that same day.

Waka Flocka Flame reached out on Twitter after KayO’s death, first saying “God please bless me,” and later linking to a touching photo of his sibling.

Hang in there, Waka.
