Veteran rapper Too $hort got some good news in the wake of his arrest for D.U.I. and drug possession last week. According to TMZ, $hort, born Todd Shaw, won’t be charged with felony drug possession. The rapper was busted for driving under the influence, and authorities subsequently said that he also had drugs in his possession.
The L.A. County District Attorney has rejected the felony drug case due to police only finding a small amount of drugs–reportedly meth. The Oakland native claims that the drugs were left in a police car by a prior suspect, not him.
The District Attorney has sent the case to the City Attorney for misdemeanor review because Too $hort does not have a felony record.
