After numerous delays and rumors of being permanently shelved, The Clipse’s third studio effort, ‘Til The Casket Drops, will hit stores in October.
The Virginia duo revealed their release date during a sneak peak for media at Sony Records in Manhattan yesterday (July 20).
The album features production by the Neptunes, Kanye West, Sean C & LV, and DJ Khalil.
Cam’Ron, Drake, Freeway, and Keri Hilson also make appearances on the project.
Yo! Raps previously reported on an interview The Clipse did with MTV shortly after lay offs at Sony were rumored to threaten the release.
“It’s not gonna affect us. We’re too far done with the album,” Pusha explained. “The thing about us, it was never lack of music. Our problems have been an executing and marketing issue. I think we got a pretty good stronghold on it. I heard about the Hip Hop and Al Branch situation. I’m sure all of that is going to work itself out in our favor.”
‘Til The Casket Drops is expected in stores on October 20.
