Flo Rida Hit With DUI Charge In Miami


Rap star Flo Rida was charged with DUI early this morning (June 9th) in Miami, Florida according reports.

The 31-year-old rapper was pulled over in his Bugatti, near Miami Beach.

When police identified Flo Rida, born Tramar Dillard, they also found that he was driving the expensive car with a suspended license.

Flo Rida was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license.

In related news, Flo Rida is scheduled to head to Bangkok this Saturday (June 11th), where he is supposed to perform.

The concert in Bangkok is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 PM.


Ray-J Apologizes To Flo-Rida For Being A Cocky Ass Clown

“I meant no disrespect to Flo-Rida, he’s a cool dude….”

Ray-J is stepping back from statements he made against rapper and rumored boyfriend of his sister Brandy, Flo-rida.

As previously reported Ray was quoted on the first episode of his “Family Business” reality show saying that Flo Rida was a “sucka” for not offering to pay for his sister’s outfit to The Grammy’s.

Now however Ray J’s retracting that statement and says the media is blowing the whole thing out of proportion.

Ray J posted a video blog to apologize and he says he meant no disrespect,

“ There was some things said about Flo Rida in the first episode that people I think are blowing way out of proportion …I meant no disrespect to Flo Rida he’s a cool dude always has been to the family. I’m on here right now to kill all of this nonsense that the media’s trying to portray…”

Uhhh yeah.

Eminem Named Top Selling Artist Of The Decade

While Eminem doesn’t always receive the recognition he deserves, Slim Shady’s track record and extensive album sales are continuing to solidify him as one of the biggest artists of our time. As previously reported, Em’s Relapse was the top selling album of 2009 with over 600,000 copies sold in the first week, before being knocked out the top spot by singer Susan Boyle.

His success with that project, along with his two previous albums has allowed him the honor of being deemed the top selling artist of the decade. According to Neilsen Soundscan, Em has surpassed all competition in every genre with a stifling 32.2 million albums sold in the past ten years. His huge sales pool has not only landed him the top spot but allowed him to outrank the legendary rock band, The Beatles.

The Beatles fell in a close second behind him but did however top the list of best selling albums with their project, 1 selling over 11.5 million units. On that same list of best selling albums, The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show both appear, with rankings at #4 and #5 with close to 20 million copies sold.

On that same list surprisingly is Nelly, whose Country Grammar rounds out the list with 8.5 million units sold.

Beyonce, B.E.P, Kanye, and Jay-Z Top Nominees at Grammys

At the Grammy nomination award show which aired on Wednesday December 2nd, hip-hop was there and represented in a big way. Hosted by LL Cool J himself, the nomination show featured all of the nominations for some of the biggest artists and songs of the year.

Beyonce headlined the event with an astonishing 10 nominations including record of the year, song of the year, and album of the year. Her Hubby Jay-z, as well as Kanye West and the Black Eyed Peas were all nominated for 6. These nominations include categories from Best Rap song of the year to Album of the year. The up and coming artists such as Drake and Kid Cudi, were nominated for 3 apiece both fighting in the category Best Rap Song.

Other artists such as Eminem, T-Pain, Common, Flo Rida, and Mos Def also were involved in the nominations in hopes to adding another Grammy to their wall. The 52nd annual Grammy Award Show, will be on January 31, 2010 at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, and will have some of the biggest names in music performing.
