Drake Will Lead Young Money, While Lil Wayne Completes His Verdict
Posted: Friday – March 19, 2010
As Lil Wayne completes his one-year sentence in jail for gun possession, Drake promised Weezy that he would lead the way for the Young Money team.
Drizzy insists that his camp stay number one. “I’m going to do everything I told him I would do.” Drake says. “You won’t even notice he’s gone.”
Drake is confident that Wayne will be fine, and Young Money will be as strong as they have been. The Canadian rapper admires Wayne’s grind, and he knows just what to do to keep the players afloat while their coach carry’s out his bid.
“Lil Wayne is a legend, I could never classify Wayne as victim. He’s too strong to me, Wayne is who he wants to be. People don’t understand, it’s really not an act. Lil Wayne is a character you’ll rarely run across, probably for the existence of human beings, he’s that guy. He is Lil Wayne for a reason. He’s a rock star, a visionary, a workaholic, he doesn’t function like anybody I know. He’s a rare breed,” Drake tells MTV while speaking about Wayne’s incarceration.
Lil Wayne has been sentenced to one year in jail after pleading guilty on gun charges in New York City. Weezy is currently being denied any special treatment or privileges on account of his star status. He may be eligible for early release for good behavior. Until then, Drake will call all of the shots.
