Dancehall Artist Bounty Killer Arrested For Beating Girlfriend After He Tried To Dump Her…WTF
Posted: Tuesday – April 6, 2010
Jamaican dancehall artist Bounty Killer was arrested yesterday (April 5th) for allegedly attacking his girlfriend.
According to published reports, Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Price, was taken into custody by the St. Andrew North Police for allegedly attacking her after he attempted to end their three-year relationship.
Police state that after offering Bounty Killer his only telephone call after being taken into custody, he used it to call the woman and threaten her life, as officers listened.
At the arraignment, the judge refused to grant the singer bail and he will remain jailed until his court date on Wednesday (April 7th).
Bounty Killer also faces previous charges of possession of a firearm, marijuana possession and wounding and assault.
Bounty Killer’s arrest is definitely not helping his fellow dancehall artists as the United States recently announced the cancellation of work visas for a number of popular dancehall acts, including Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Beenie Man, Mavado and Aidonia.
Although the reason has not been specified, the U.S. Embassy issued a memo to all airlines not to board the artists while their visas are being revoked. According to reports, a number of artists, including Bounty Killer, were forced to cancel shows in Miami and other parts of Florida over this past weekend because of the visa issue.
