Bun B Injured At Gumball 3000
Posted: Monday – May 10, 2010
Southern rap legend Bun B was injured at the Gumball 3000 rally this past week in Sweden. The star reportedly suffered a nasty fall and sprained his arm ligaments and split his knee open. He refused to go to the hospital for treatment so that he could travel back to the United States to continue the rally.
“We were all going on stage and it got kind of crowded,” said Bun in a statement explaining the incident. “Someone fell onto me and I ended up falling off the stage and I split my knee open and sprained my ligaments in my right arm.”
“The problem was the injury happened at 4:30am and we had to get on the bus at 8am to catch the plane to America,” he added.
“If I had gone to the hospital I would have missed the flight so someone gave me some extra strength Excedrin (painkiller). This is the 4th day since the injury and I still haven’t gone to a doctor. I can’t afford to miss the Gumball.”
The eight-day event started on May 1st in London and contenders travelled throughout Europe before ending in New York. Other celebrities including rapper Eve, actor Idris Elba, and professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, also participated in the rally.
