A refreshed and revitalized Kirko Bangz hit the Breakfast Club and spoke on how lean was a key in pulling him off track and developing a reputation of being lazy.
“I was on that drank heavy too so I can understand that. I didn’t want to go to the studio. I didn’t want to do a lot of things; interviews. Basically anything outside of me making the songs and me getting the girls and stuff like that I didn’t want to do.”
He went on to explain that the delay was due to a few factors. “It was the label. It was me. It was strip clubs,” he said “Spending money. All this type of crazy sh-t that I talked about on the record ‘Rich’ All the verses are all personal and talk about things that I went through.”
In the interview revealed that a switch in labels had him in limbo as well. But after uplugging from his crazy lifestyle and reconnecting with family things are turning around for him. His debut album, Bigger Than Me is due later this year.
