Why Miley Won’t Be On Wiz’s Next Album
Wiz Khalifa and Miley Cyrus collaborated on a hit with last year’s “23,” but a new track from the twosome will not be found on Wiz’s upcoming album Blacc Hollywood.
Wiz Khalifa and Miley Cyrus collaborated on a hit with last year’s “23,” but a new track from the twosome will not be found on Wiz’s upcoming album Blacc Hollywood.
“It didn’t get cleared,” Wiz says of the now-scrapped Miley collaboration in an interview with Billboard. “Just because of some things that had to do with the song. I think somebody else ended up paying for the beat, so that song didn’t make it.”
So there will be no Miley and no Adele on Blacc Hollywood after all, but Wiz’s fifth studio album—set to be released August 19—still has plenty appearances. It’ll include guests like Nicki Minaj, Nas, Juicy J and Taylor Gang’s Ty Dolla $ign, who reportedly appears on the album three times.
“We’re just both really, really creative,” Wiz explains, speaking of his bond with Ty. “And that’s when the best things happen, when two people are at their best.”
Ty Dolla $ign is also coming along as Wiz Khalifa continues his “Under The Influence of Music Tour” with Jeezy, Rich Homie Quan and more, but one of the original supporting acts, Tyga, won’t be making the trip.
Wiz, who released his 28 Grams mixtape in May, recently said Tyga’s excuse for dropping out of the tour – working on an album and a film – was “wack.” Fans of both artists shouldn’t worry, however, as Wiz says there’s no beef brewing there. “That’s the homie,” Khalifa recently told Philadelphia’s Power 99. “That was just a wack move. But we cool.”
