Lil Snupe’s manager, Leem, confirmed on Thursday (June 20) that Snupe has been murdered.

Leem tweeted Thursday morning that he got a call telling him that Lil Snupe had died. New Orleans rapper Turk, formerly a multi-platinum artist at Cash Money Records with the Hot Boys, also tweeted about the young artist’s death.

“FUCKED UP!!! JUST TALKED TO LIL HOMIE #THUGGNPEACE @LILSNUPE”

Prior to Leem and Turk’s messages confirming the tragedy, Meek Mill tweeted to the young rapper to hit him up “right now.” It was as if he was worried something was wrong.

Information is still pending on the cause of death. It is also unclear if Snupe was 17 or 18 years of age. Both ages have been reported at XXL Mag and at MTV News respectively.

Snupe recently released a mixtape titled “R.N.I.C (Real Nigga In Charge)”. The project featured Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, Curren$y, and Trae Tha Truth among others.
