M-Bone’s Funeral Set For This Friday; Fans Invited

The family of Cali Swag District group member M-Bone has decided to open the funeral up for fans and the general public, who would like to show support for their fallen family member.

“There has been a tremendous outreach of concern and the family would like to have the funeral open to the public and fans that would like to support,” Cali Swag’s publicist said.

For fans wanting to attend, services will take place this Friday (May 27th) at 11 a.m. PT at Faithful Central on 333 W. Florence Avenue in Inglewood, California.

M-Bone, born Montae Talbert, was shot twice in the head and killed on May 15th, while sitting in his car on La Brea Avenue in Inglewood.

No arrests have been made and homicide detectives are still looking for a motive.

M-Bone’s death comes as Cali Swag District celebrates the success of their 2010 single “Teach Me How to Dougie,” which has been certified platinum.

The group is also up for a BET Award for Best New Group.

The Inglewood Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and call the homicide division at (310) 412-5246 or its 24-hour anonymous hotline number: (888)-41-CRIME or (888)-412-7463.
