On Sunday, a bullet claimed the life of aspiring Memphis rapper Adrian Thomas who was shot and killed on his front porch after an argument with a man while his wife sat in the house and while his small children were in their beds asleep.
According to Thomas’ wife, Malikah Thomas, 32, she was in the house when she overheard her husband arguing with a man which was followed by a gunshot.
Malikah Thomas says that it happened so quick that when she got outside to her front porch, he was laying there bleeding, reports WMCTV. The 37 year-old father and rapper, who was excited about his new hip hop CD and song “Cypher,” unfortunately died in her arms.
The mother of two, who is expecting another child, now left a widow, states that it’s going to be hard for her to explain this to her young children who were expecting their dad to take them to the park that he is dead.
According to reports, Malikah Thomas is hoping that the violence will stop and is begging for people to opt for talking things out instead of using guns.
Currently, police are looking for the unknown male assailant and anybody with information is asked to contact authorities or call 901-528-CASH.
