Rapping since the age of 8, rapper d$money is now on the front lines to put Arizona on the map. In a region that’s been been continually overlooked, now, more than ever are hungry mc’s trying to break ground. The South West is a region of it’s own and with the west coast as it’s neighbor, south west states have struggled to make it big. When asked what does Arizona style sound like, d$money says, “We get influence from all over and there are different groups and movements in the city. I appeal to the black kats with my swagger, the essays, muslims, hip hop heads, kats thats on that philosophy, the revolutionary’s, I was exposed to a lot comming up and it all comes hard, I’m trying to build bridges with all the tension in the city, rep where I’m from, and take it to another level”. With that being said, d$money has a goal of national attention, not just local. “My music is deep, it’s raw, it’s gangster, it’s political, it’s positive and bad. I only speak on it if I know the scoop, so any message I bring is for real, not to sell records. The game is missing good music, and I wanna change that, and give listeners that feeling of what it was like for me, in my city”. Plenty of ambition, d$money or aka, dgunnin is sure to be a force in the future.
