Leave it to Drake to spread love the Brooklyn way with his first-ever live singing performance of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” at the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards Sunday night (August 25). Introduced by T-Boz and Chilli of TLC, who performed at his OVO Fest earlier this month, Drizzy’s set began on a toned-down note, with him sitting in the audience, sideways, with his gaze to the right, with a serene background dominated by a blue sky with white clouds. The pose was a live reenactment of the cover artwork by Kadir Nelson for his third solo album, Nothing Was the Same, which will arrive on September 24.

Nicki Minaj is asked about Drake’s status with Young Money Cash Money Billionaires and she says her answer sounds “like a riddle but maybe one day you’ll be able to unravel that one.”
Nicki Minaj has responded to questions regarding Drake’s status with Young Money Cash Money Billionaires. During a recent interview with New York radio station Hot 97, Minaj was asked whether Drake is in Young Money or not and Minaj offered what she said sounded like a riddle as her answer.

Lil Wayne said publicly for the first time what we told you about 2 weeks ago … he was near death after suffering multiple, violent seizures. Wayne, during an interview with Power 106 in L.A. yesterday, said he’s an epileptic and prone to seizures. And he said … he’s been having seizures for a long time.

Birdman has revealed his latest scheme for his record imprint. In what seems to be a high target to reach, Birdman has said that he is aiming to put out 100 albums every year. Speaking to MTV News, he explained the plan. “Right now, as we stand, we have [48 acts] between Young Money, Cash Money, We The Best,” he said.

After nearly two decades in the rap game, Lil Wayne has announced that he plans on quitting soon, revealing to MTV that his upcoming “Tha Carter V” album will be his Swan song. But before that, he plans on releasing his 10th album “I Am Not A Human Being II,” because “I know y’all want me around for a little bit, and Carter V is my last album,” he told MTV‘s Sway Calloway. “Man, I’ve been rappin’ since I was 8 years old. I’m 30 now, man. That’s a long time, man.”
