Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being will now be a full-length album as opposed to an EP like it was originally scheduled. Several of the tracks that were slated to be featured on Tha Carter IV will now be featured on the project, which is scheduled to be released on his birthday, September 27.

“I know once he got out [of jail] those songs would be so old to him,” said his manager, Cortez Bryant to SPIN magazine.

As for Tha Carter IV, it will no longer be released on the same day as Weezy’s release from prison in November as previously planned. The New Orleans MC, has been writing down lyrics, a first for him “since 2002 or 2003,” and soon after leaving Rikers he will start working on that LP.

“He’s going to probably start from scratch,” said Bryant. “I know how he records — he’s in the studio every single day. That’s his life.”

I Am Not A Human Being will feature collaborations with his Young Money label mates such as Nicki Minaj, Drake, Jay Sean, Tyga, Lil Twist and Jae Millz. The unfinished video for the title track leaked onto the internet a few days ago showcasing some of Weezy’s tattoos that apparently glow in the dark.

“It was his concept to shoot the black light, because that way the tats that he has, they glow in the dark,” said the video’s director David Rousseau to MTV News. “He came up with that idea. So really, the rest of the video was a springboard on that.”

Lil Wayne Leaves A Video Warning For Other MCs: ‘Y’all In Trouble’

Posted: Thursday – April 1, 2010

The fans on Twitter are writing “Free @liltunechi.” The fans on the street are screaming “Free Lil Wayne.” Any way you put it, the people miss one of rap’s most dynamic superstars.

We haven’t sat down with Weezy yet for a new interview, but he left us some more footage of himself before heading to jail last month. In the clip, Wayne is recording songs for his No Ceilings mixtape, and even though the music was coming out great, he wasn’t 100 percent inspired.

“It’s all right, but I really don’t feel it like that,” Wayne said, looking into the camera while shooting his “Nino Brown Story” DVD. Someone off camera jokingly yells “bullsh–.”

“I swear to God,” Wayne insisted. “It’s all right. I’m telling you, rappers now, you better get it up while I’m not feeling it like that. Once I start feeling it like that, y’all in trouble. Right now, I’m rappin’ right now because y’all ain’t heard me in a minute. I don’t really feel it like that. But my artists though … psssh. They’ll eat you n—as’ lunch. We superstars. We don’t battle. We don’t want to be compared to nobody. I teach, I preach and I [lead by example]. Superstars. We breed superstars. I teach them how to be superstars first. You don’t wanna be a rapper, you don’t wanna be a singer, you wanna be a superstar. Therefore you don’t have to rap nor sing. You can do whatever, because you a superstar. It’s easier.”

Wayne recently teamed with another superstar, Eminem. As you know, they filmed the video for “Drop the World” in February, and some new behind-the-scenes pictures have surfaced.

Also, we got a sneak peek at a Wayne video directed by DJ Scoob Doo. They made a movie. Check back soon for more on that one.

Lil Wayne Barred From Signing Autographs in Jail

Posted: Friday – March 12, 2010

Lil Wayne in general population at Rikers

Lil Wayne won’t have to worry about being pestered for autographs in jail. Officials have enacted a no-autograph policy for Weezy while he does his time.

The Correction Officer’s Benevolent Association tells TMZ that a no-autograph policy has been put into effect during the rapper’s stint behind bars. “Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in here,” says the rep.

Although he may be accustomed to a lavish lifestyle, Weezy won’t be getting preferential treatment nor has he requested any at Rikers Island.

Weezy is nearly a week into the yearlong jail sentence he received for a gun-related crime — but he could get out after 8 months if he stays on his best behavior.

Marijuana Smell A Selling Point For Lil Wayne Condo [Video Included]

Posted: Monday – February 22, 2010

As Wayne prepares for his jail bid, one thing is apparent and that’s’ that the Cash Money/ Young Money train won’t stop.

Before he goes in, Wayne is on record to film at least 20 videos that will feature him alongside other artists as well as his Young Money and Cash Money crew.

As Hip-Hop Wired previously reported, Lil Wayne took a visit last week to the dentist for a list of procedures including 8 root canals in preparation for his sit down.

In a recent interview with British radio personality Tim Westwood, Weezy discusses his upcoming The Carter IV album as well as his label roster which includes Nicki Minaj and Drake being about their business and making sure the label propels while he’s on hiatus.

Wayne also spoke on the reports that he was having a hard time selling his Miami condo because of the aroma of Mary Jane throughout the building. Wayne stated,

“The only part about it not being true is the having trouble part. We not having trouble selling it but all the other stuff is true. We not having trouble with that. That’s actually a [selling point]. The people that are coming into look at it like that more about it. That’s like walking into Bob Marley’s crib and you still smelling weed and his bed still messed up and fool still on the table. You like leave all that shit. I want to buy all that shit. I’m like of them niggas now.”

Peep the footage below as Wayne speaks on his last days of freedom.

Lil’Wayne Headed To Jail On Feb. 14, 2010

Posted: Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Lil Wayne’s gonna have to reschedule his Valentine’s Day plans — because a judge just set the rapper up with a romantic stint behind bars.  Weezy was finally given a start date to serve his one year jail sentence after pleading guilty to weapons charges — and his first day will be February 9th …one week after his new album drops. Wayne didn’t say one word during his brief appearance in Manhattan State court today. So far, no word on where Wayne will serve his time.
