Busta Rhymes is back with a new album and mindset adding on to his multi-platinum career. The Brooklyn emcee wouldn’t reveal the name of the album, but said it would be along the lines of When Disaster Strikes, The Coming, Extinction Level Event, Anarchy and Genesis.
Scoffing at the notion of retirement, Busta had a breakout year doing features, most notably Jay-Z and Kanye West’s H.A.M and Nicki Minaj’s Roman’s Revenge.
“I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.” Busta remarked whenever someone mentions him retiring. The 39-year-old rapper has seen and done it all since entering the game in 1991:
Death Row Record’s dominance over the industry; how Biggie, Nas and Wu-Tang Clan revived New York; the untimely deaths of Biggie and Tupac; the South’s dominance; the rise of underground artists like Wiz Khalifa. Through it all Busta still remained relevant releasing hit-after-hit, selling millions of records and collaborating with the biggest names in the industry.
He promises to give fans some new flavor as well as some of the old rapid-fire-flow Busta is known for. “I’m really taking my time with this one,” Busta says of his new, untitled release. “I’m going into this one different than the last album. I don’t want to start talking about producers and album titles just yet because I don’t want to spoil anything. But you know I’m going to come out with that good sh*t . I promise you that. I’ve been in the business for a minute and I still have a hunger for it. I’m not going to stop until the people tell me to.”
Meanwhile, he’s enjoying his #1 single Look At Me Now featuring Chris Brown and Lil Wayne and the growing buzz from Welcome To My Hood with DJ Khaled. Both tracks will appear on his new album, which he says is 90% done.
Busta isn’t going anywhere anytime soon let alone retiring. “This is my sh*t. I am back in a space where I can talk about the things I love to talk about and touch on things people are a little uncomfortable talking about and really expose the truths, and do it in a way where it’s so extremely entertaining. I feel supreme right now,” stated Busta Rhymes.
His album is slated to be released in September.

Last year around this time, the ever controversial machine known to the masses as 50 Cent was busy sending disrespectful rhymes in the direction pointed at fellow New York rap superstar Jay-Z. For the past months the Queens native had been baiting the god MC on wax with the assistance of former Roc-A-Fella artist Beanie Sigel.
Following Jay And Eminem’s opening night of their “Home And Home” tour at Detroit’s Comerica Park, Fif and Jay-Z deaded their beef backstage after the two ran into each other.
“We got a chance to kick it for a minute,” 50 told MTV News. “I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z. I take people’s actions as if it’s genuinely how they feel. I can only use what I saw you do as if that’s what you meant. I can’t understand what your motivation was prior to that.”
As things appeared to have taken a more peaceful route following the union, the G-Unit general may have just re-opened that can of worms. In a recent interview with MTV UK, Fif calls his relationship with Jay-Z “business” and says he uses it as leverage for his own interests.
“We don’t have those kinds of relationships” 50 declared. “These people are people I associate with. We are in the same business. We are not necessarily friends. We don’t call each other for no reason.”
“It’s not like we have something against each other to make us enemies,” Fiddy continued. “Me and Jay[-Z] will use each other. Repeatedly. For energy.

Ludacris recently sat down with AllHipHop.com to discuss the progress of his upcoming eighth album, Ludaversal.
The rapper, born Chris Bridges, has been busy pursuing an acting career with roles in upcoming movies like “Breakaway” and “Fast Five” co-starring Vin Diesel, which is due in theaters this Friday (April 29th).
According to Ludacris, his busy schedule and his acting career have not interfered with his ability to make a hit album.
“When you hear the album you’ll know,” Ludacris told AllHipHop.com. “People can expect me to take it to a level they know I’m capable of. If anybody has doubts, I have no problem continuing to prove myself. And I have no problem slapping the ones who’re sleeping to make them wake up. It’s about consistency.”
Over the years, Ludacris has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, from singers like Enrique Iglesias, Fergie and Mary J. Blige to rappers like Lil Wayne, Nas and Jay-Z
During his 11-year career, Luda has sold almost 20 million records worldwide.
The rapper attributed his success to his ability to make cameo appearances on hit records, while maintaining his Hip-Hop roots as a lyricist.
Ludacris said he always had the “perfect balance between always staying true to the Hip Hop lyricists’ roots” and never limited himself to working with one particular type of artist.
“Who else is able to do those and still get on the ‘Welcome to My Hood (Remix)’ and kill shit – period? That’s what I think I’ve been able to consistently do,” Ludacris told AllHipHop.com.
Ludacris album Ludaversal is due in stores in early 2012.

About a week ago, news leaked that Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated 4th studio album Tha Carter IVmight be pushed back till June.
At the time that was a just a rumor, but Young Money President Mack Maine confirmed the rumor is true. According to Maine, the album will be released on June 21st.
Neither Lil Wayne nor anyone from the Young Money camp has given a reason to the delay. In some cases, this is due to the album not being complete, but MTV had reported a month ago that Tha Carter IV was finished and heading into the mastering stages.
Maine also confirmed that the album cover for Tha Cater IVthat leaked earlier in the week would in fact be the cover that will be used for the album.
Also about a week ago, the rumored tracklist leaked for Tha Carter IV. According to the rumored listing, many YMCMB family members such as Birdman, Drake and Nicki Minaj will be on the album. Many other big names such as Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Eminem, Kanye West, and Gucci Mane were also on the list.
No one has yet to comment on whether this is a confirmed or a tentative tracklist for Weezy’s 4th LP. The world will have to wait until June 21st when Tha Cater IV hits stores.

The music video for Kanye West’s single Monster has been banned by MTV. The television network made the decision to pull the video in response to an outcry over the way women are being portrayed in the footage.
At the forefront of the outrage are two activists Sharon Haywood and Melinda Tankard Reist, who created a petition asking MTV and Universal Music Group to stop promoting the video, and in the process managed to get over 1,600 signatures.
“The mainstreaming of videos like this increases desensitized and callous attitudes toward violence against women,” said Reist, one of the campaign’s originators. “Young people are seeing images and absorbing harmful messages which glamorize misogyny and brutalize women.”
Adding, “Women are reduced to sex-doll like playthings. So great is the level of desensitization that the barbaric treatment of women and girls is seen as normal and to be expected. We decided to run this campaign because we wanted to challenge the status quo.”
Their work isn’t completely done though, pointed out Reist, who said that they are determined to continue their campaign until Universal Music Group responds to the petition.
Monster collaborators Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj appear in the video alongside West.

Jay-Z signed Jay Electronica to Roc Nation tonight at an exclusive music industry function tonight in New York City.
The signing ended years of speculation as to where Jay Electronica would call his recording home.
“We’re trying to reintroduce magic to Hip-Hop,” Jay-Z said from the stage at a club called The Bar.
The event was set as a magic with several oddities performing, including a man deemed “The Human Slinky” and magicians.
Jay Electronica performed for the crowd and the DJ later played his song with Jay-Z.
