Warning: Use of laser lights at a Kanye West concert will result in Kanye embarrassing the crap out of you, and shouting, “You gonna get fucked up!” One fan at Kanye and Jay-Z’s “Watch the Throne” show learned that lesson the hard way during one of the duo’s Paris shows. When the guy flashed some sort of pen laser onstage … Yeezy shut down the show and shouted, “You see this guy right here with the green laser? Don’t fuck up everybody’s show … it’s not a fucking game!”

TMZ is reporting that rapper Gucci Mane, real name Radric Davis, lost $270,000 in a lawsuit filed by a Georgia based jewelry company. The company sued the rapper for stealing diamonds. A&A Diamonds filed a lawsuit against the rapper in Henry County, GA claiming they had loaned Gucci Mane a $130,000 pinky ring, and a diamond necklace and bracelet that totaled $110,000. The lawsuit stated that Gucci had 15 days to pay for the jewelry or return it, and he did neither. He only paid the company $40,000 of the money they claim he owed.

“Without Me” is a somber introduction, with a minor-key flavor punctuated by low-end bass courtesy of Zaytoven. The title track, aided by 2 Chainz, is your standard Gucci Mane fare, as is “Trap Boomin,” which gets the assist from Rick Ross. “Cyeah Cyeah” is easily one of the most interesting productions on the entire record, with Polow Da Don’s time spent with Timbaland on full display. An evolving beat with very full percussion and an eastern flavor lay the groundwork for Gucci, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown—who continues to make a bid to be taken seriously as an emcee—to work over.

The most persuasive moments of Kaliko’s 17-track effort stick to a rugged and uncompromising formula. Strange Music is an army. With Tech N9ne posted up as its general, the Kansas City cabal has successfully entrenched its roots across the underground strata of the Rap map. Independent, self-sufficient, and known for releasing music hooked around high-octane raps, the Strange Music message has spread globally. Now it’s the turn of the movement’s second-in-command, Krizz Kaliko, to build on Tech’s Klusterfuck EP from earlier this year. Although for all of Kickin’ & Screamin’s virtues it too often flirts with diluting the Strange Music battle cry.
