This is the first year in over 10 years that DMX has not been arrested.

And it’s all documented in his wife, Tashera Simmons’s, upcoming book, Strength of a Woman. Simmons’s reps told media sources that the book will be a peek into DMX’s family life during the past decade.

But make no mistake; it is not a pretty portrait.

Since the couple’s marriage in 1999, DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, has been arrested for a stabbing incident and an assault charge, which were both cleared/dropped.

Although he was lucky with those two cases, a few cocaine and marijuana possession infractions have landed DMX in the court dates and fines. The 39-year-old rapper has also been caught on the Michael Vick tip, pleading guilty to animal cruelty.

But refusal to put on a seatbelt at London’s Heathrow Airport? Tashera’s will need to be strong enough for the both of them if the next ten years is anything like the last.

Despite the legal trouble, DMX has reached Billboard Top 200 Charts for five consecutive albums. He is the first rapper to do so.

Let’s see if Tashera shares that with her audience.

It’s amazing but EXPECTED how verbal the media and Republicans have been since President Barack Obama took office. Former CBS News anchorman Dan Rathers voiced his opinion about President Obama and lets just say he couldn’t have used a more RACIST analogy to get his point across.

This is a free country and you can say what you want BUT some people still need to watch they fucking mouth!!!

It’s funny how when coked up George Bush was pushing bills for the almighty dollar to go in his pocket these dickheads didn’t have anything to say then, but now it seems like they just have diarrhea of the mouth.

Just when we thought Jamie Foxx was swirling with Olivia Munn, he proved us wrong by using Stacey Dash as his arm candy during Oscar Weekend.

Stacey and Jamie recently chopped it up on his radio show where she announced her divorce, and the two have been ‘real close’ ever since. After seeing them together we had to wonder if Jamie is soaking up Stacey’s panties and bangin out those “close to perfect” backs.

Jay-Z has finally made it to the White House. Joining him on Wednesday, March 3, were Beyonce, her mother, Tina Knowles, and Trey Songz.

According to hiphopdx.com, Jay briefly met with Obama while at a stop at the Verizon Center on his Blueprint 3 Tour.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, publicly expressed to the media that he has had several invitations to the White House and has been too busy to accept. “Hopefully we’ll keep him in for eight years so I’ll have time to get there,” he said last month to BBC.

Now that Jay has gotten there, we’ll see if he is invited back.

According to allhiphop.com, Obama endorsed Jay-Z’s latest album, Blueprint 3, (where Obama was shouted out on 3 different cuts) and has been a hip-hop fan for years. His hope for hip-hop is for emcees to avoid lyrics that degrade women and limit the constant talk of money and cars.

“I’ve met with Jay-Z, I’ve met with Kanye [West]. And I’ve talked to other artists about how potentially to bridge that gap. I think the potential for them to deliver a message of extraordinary power that gets people thinking [is great],” Obama said while on a BET special.

The president continued to say that he feels some rappers use the n-word excessively.

What Obama and Jay-Z do agree on is the effect hip-hop can have on the nation. They both believe that rappers can use their lyrics to uplift the masses and bring about change. However, Jay feels that the job of a rapper is to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly.

“Sometimes there are hard truths in rap; they’re not packaged with pretty ribbons. Sometimes the realities of the situations are harsh and they need to be told,” Jay-Z said to BBC. “We’re the poets of our generation!”

Trina’s personal cell phone was not as valuable as the photos inside. On Monday, the 31-year-old, Miami bred rapper, told the media that the photos of her floating through the internet were from her cell phone, stolen at the BET Hip-Hop Awards ceremony.

Trina, whose government is Katrina Laverne Taylor, is more than upset about the breach of her privacy. According to news.gather.com, some of the photos leaked include Trina crying, an image of a skin rash, and a couple of shots of her ex-boyfriend Kenyon Martin.

Let’s not forget the nude photos that are now, nearly impossible to find on the net. This might be due to Trina’s contact with the FBI, an attempt to catch the unknown suspect who boosted her phone.

Trina told MTV that some of the photos were not taken from her phone but uploaded by the suspect to make the photo collection more enticing.

Emotional, Trina told the media that the photos were her “personal stuff,” and it was unacceptable for the suspect to make them public. She described the skin rash incident, saying that she only took the photo to show her dermatologist what she looked like after she had been at a particular recording studio for a few days, possibly exposed to something that triggered her allergies.

While fans wait for Jim Jones to drop an album, the 34-year-old rapper has gotten his battery charges dropped.

The news was made public Friday when prosecutors said they did not have enough evidence against Jones to convict him of assaulting a local teenager in Panama City last year.

According to wjhg.com, Jim Jones and his crew were in the Boardwalk Beach Resort parking lot during a Spring Break concert on March 12. Jones’s clique was caught on camera, roughing up Damion Johns, before Jones is shown breaking up the ruckus.

Initially, Panama City Police handled the reports then handed their info over to the State Attorneys Office.

In April, Jones pleaded not guilty to the charges and less than a year later, the rest of the world can believe him.

Former Cash Money Hot Boy Juvenile and his producer Leroy Edwards were arrested Thursday (February 25), for possession of marijuana.

According to reports, police responded to a call from a neighbor who reported that they smelled marijuana smoke coming from the rappers home.

When police arrived at the house, according to reports, they were not only greeted by Juve’s producer who had a small amount of marijuana “on his person,” but a published report police states that “the presence of marijuana was strong” enough that it gave “probable cause” to search the rapper’s home.

Upon their search, police discovered a small amount of marijuana in a kitchen drawer, which Juvenile stated belonged to him.

Authorities said Juvenile and Edwards were booked with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and both have posted bond.
With all of the issues surrounding rappers and drugs, it seems as if Dr. Drew is going to have to start a new season of celebrity rehab, aptly titled Hip-Hop Edition…SMH.

Biggie Smalls is smack in the middle of another heated battle in California — but this time, the deceased rapper’s wife, Faith Evans, is the one in the hot seat.

It’s all over private home videos of Christopher Wallace — videos that a company called Kaushi Entertainment wanted to use in a documentary.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court, Kaushi claims they struck a deal, approved by Faith Evans, in which they would fork over $30k for all of the movies.

Kaushi claims they paid up — but Faith Evans, along with several associates, never handed over the goods.

Long story short — Kaushi claims they got screwed and want more than $1,000,000 to make things right.

Calls to Faith’s people have not been returned.

Justus League affiliate Joe Scudda tweeted and confirmed that he along with Little Brother’s Rapper Big Pooh, Chaundon, Jozeemo and manager Big Dho were injured yesterday morning in a Vermont car accident.

“Need all yall to pray for us HOJ BOYS…be back with details…..we just had a wreck!!!”

According to Joe Scudda via Twitter, the group was”t-boned by a tractor trailer after doing a 360 in the snow-covered roads.” The location of where the accident actually occurred is unknown. What is known is that all parties involved were sent to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Joe Scudda and Big Pooh sent out tweets to thank fans for their support

“Thanks for all the well wishes @rapperbigpooh says peace”

Joe Scudda, Chaundon, and Pooh have all confirmed their recovery online.

“Thank u all for the well wishes. We ride with the most high therefore we are in good health considering. Preciate the prayers.”

As of press time Big Pooh remains in the hospital at Randolph, Vermont.
